PachaMama Birth Doula Support
A doula lovingly supports the mother in pregnancy, labor, and birth as well as in breastfeeding, bonding and postpartum recovery. A doula is also the birthing woman’s advocate and makes sure her desires are heard and respected during the birth process. A doula does not perform clinical or medical task. Instead they tend to matters of the body and soul. Mothering the mother or doing for the woman so she can do for baby is the role of the doula
On call Labor and Birth Support
As a trained and certified birth doula Earth specializes on giving one on one support for mothers during labor & birth. One on one support can empower mothers and their partners to have a safe and deeply satisfying experience. The scientific research is clear, when a mother has continuous labor support the birth outcomes are better for her and baby. The use of intervention is dramatically decreased when a woman has the support of a doula.
Research indicates:
- 25% shorter labors
- 50% reduction in cesarean rate
- 60% reduction in epidural request
- More likely to breastfeed past 6 weeks
