The Good Birth Keeper Doula Training is divided into three levels; level 1, level 2 and independent study. All three levels need to be taken in order to be a certified professional doula.
Please read this page till the end as many questions will be answered along the way.
The levels are respectively titled:
1. Birth Doula Basics (BDB)Â -level one 21 hours w/ 3 meet times
2. Beyond Birth Basics (BBB)-level two 18 hours w/ 2 meet times
3. Doula in Depth-independent study (complete at your pace)

Being a Good Birth Keeper is a lifetime journey however becoming a trained and certified doula is easily done!

Join NBI for $100-Membership fee & Doula Certification  (includes training materials, certificate of program completion which shows you are certified doula with NBI, discounts on required books when available, discounts on other NBI or Earth Loves Yoga events).

Attend both Birth Doula Basics-level 1 and Beyond Birth Basics-level 2, complete Doula in Depth- the independent study assignments, which includes; attending 2 births, 4 client visits-Pre & Postnatal, required reading,(there are 4 required books) keeping a birth log, a birth journal and a 2 page report on a topic of choice and paying the tuition. THATS IT!
Once the above is finished you will be awarded a certificate of completion that will clearly state that YOU are a certified doula with The Natural Birth Institute.

Remember trainings are not refundable, however if you need to cancel your money can be used for future trainings.

Scholarships!! Work required is for you to post 20 fliers + email 10 people about the training.  You need to pay for the entire program at one time, the total cost for those who qualify is $400 (includes membership/certification fee).
