The Natural Birth Institute doula training program Good Birth Keeper International is divided into three levels; level 1, level 2 and independent Study. All three levels need to be taken in order to be certified.
The levels are respectively titled
1. Birth Doula Basics -level one 21 hours ($350 or $250 if 30days in advance of training)
2. Beyond Birth Basics-level two 16 hours (($300 or $250 if 15days in advance of training)
3. Doula in Depth-indepent study
Total cost of GBKI:Â $750, includes NBI membership fee($100), Â does not include the 4 required books

Become a Certified Doula with NBI!
Being a Good Birth Keeper is a lifetime journey however becoming a trained & certified doula is easily done!
- Fill out the GBKI program application and send to beadoula@gmail.com
- Join NBI for $100 (includes training materials for all 3 levels, certificate of program completion which proves you are an trained & certified doula, organic & natural refreshments at trainings, discounts on required books when available, discounts on other NBI events). Credit Card payments (PayPal) Â to puresage@hotmail.com or send a check to The Natural Birth Institute 2645 Maxwell Ave. Oakland, CA 94619
- Attend both Birth Doula Basics-level 1(21 hours with 3 meet times) and Beyond Birth Basics-level 2 (16 hours, with 2 meet times)
- Complete the independent study assignments, including births, reading, keeping a birth log & so forth, and be awarded a certificate of completion that will clearly state that YOU are a certified doula with The Natural Birth Institute.
